Williamstown Theatre Festival

WTF was an interesting experience. I started as an intern in the props department and was promoted to position of Properties Master along side a guy named Pete when the former prop master left because of health reasons. While Pete and I each took a stage (Pete the proscenium and myself the thrust/half round) It was a team effort. The other interns Laura Kate Cory and Sebain were each key elements to the team. The season was very rough, losing many important figures during the summer. I was glad to have my computer, because it was one of the most used tools in the prop shop. Everything from budgets, to paper goods (lots of gum wrappers, period looking labels, photo retouching, etc.), web research. There was plenty of shopping and building. Pete (the other Prop Master) and I built 12 pieces of Japanese style furniture in two days including chairs, tables, stools, and a podium.
